The Honey Lake Assembly of God MOPS will be sponsoring a Family Track and Field Day on Saturday, September 22nd at 10:00a.m. This event will be held at Lassen High’s Arnold Field and will feature 41 events for competitors between the ages of 1 and 13-years old including; toddler dashes, 100 meter sprints, mile runs, a 4×100 family relay, and field events.
All competitions cost only $3 each. 1st-3rd place will be awarded per event and age group. An obstacle course, additional activities, healthy snacks and water, cupcakes, and a raffle for a new bike will also be provided for participants.
First Aid will be provided by the LCC Nursing Program.
Organizers say that this will be a day full of fun and action for the whole family, so register early to ensure your children’s spots in the events which includes everything from a 10-yard dash for one-year olds to a one-mile race for 11, 12 and 13-year olds and lots of races in between for various age groups.
There will be a Family 4×100 Relay, Field Events for ages 3-13 which include shotput (Softball throw), Discuss (Frisbee throw) and Long Jump.

The MOPS thanked Lassen High School, LCC Nursing Program, Merry Morsels, Susanville Walmart, Susanville Burger King, Shaffer Elementary, and RibbonsNow for their generous donations of time and resources for the event.
All proceeds will benefit Honey Lake Assembly of God MOPS.
The MOPS began in January 2015 and is intended to be a place where moms can come to be encouraged and supported by other moms who are in similar seasons of life. MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders.
