Customers of Frontier Internet and Verizon Wireless have been left without service this morning as the Hog Fire burned into communications lines near Highway 36.
Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon issued a statement this morning saying that phone
service is limited, and should be reserved for priority traffic.
According to Growdon 911 calls appear to going through to the dispatch centers, but non-emergency services are limited.
Please limit phone usage until full service can be restored.
There is no estimate for restoration as telecom crews will need to assess damage once fire officials say it is safe to go into the area.
