Harold Laughlin

Harold Laughlin, age 82, of Doyle, California entered eternal rest April 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno, Nevada. Harold was born in Richfield, Minnesota on October 2, 1934 to Austin and Ada Laughlin, but grew up in Lake Preston, South Dakota.

After discharging from the Navy, Harold moved west to look for work in Reno, Nevada. They quickly added to the family having three children in the next three years. Harold loved to go camping and fishing and his children fondly remember summers spent at the local lakes. Harold equally loved NASCAR and on Sunday afternoons, he could be found watching the latest race and rooting for his favorite driver.

In his early years in the Church, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and helped at their bingo nights. Harold was also a founding member of the Doyle Historical Society and was proud to have helped with the moving and restoring of the Constantia Church in Doyle. His later life was spend enjoying time with family and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Anita, brothers Stanley and Kenny, and parents Austin and Ada. He is survived by sons Timothy and Thomas Laughlin, daughter Teresa Laughlin and grandchildren T.J. Laughlin and Toria Laughlin and many nieces and nephews.
