Gloria Anne McClure
Gloria Anne McClure, born in North Hollywood on January 16, 1959 and entered Heavens Gates on November 4, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Ruby Sprotte and William Higgason, Mother-in-law Adrienne McClure, and sister Pam.
Gloria attended Granada Hills High School. She enjoyed volleyball and spending time at the beach. She moved to the Westwood area when she was 18.
She married her soulmate William (Bill) McClure on March 31, 1979. They honeymooned at Disneyland.
Gloria was a woman of so many talents, but making her house a home was by far her best. She enjoyed making doll clothes and Barbie furniture for her three girls and granddaughters. She loved to cook and bake with her grandchildren and always made it special. Halloween costumes were never store bought. Those that knew her talents referred to her as Martha Stewart, she would often make something out of nothing with her special touches and attention to detail. She loved being Nana and family was her whole world. Her and Bill loved gardening and they spent years perfecting their garden. She loved bowling and was on the Westwood Bowling League and the Women’s Chester Bowling League.
As her girls got older and went onto school, Gloria went back to work, working at Holiday Market in Chester, Carol’s in Prattville, and got her real estate license and did property managing for a number of years in the Lake Almanor and the Chester area. She later went to work at High Desert State Prison as a supervising cook for 10 years before retiring in 2013.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill McClure, her three daughters, Elizabeth Braccialini, Becca Falchetta, and Courtney Russell, her three son-in-laws Ryan, Chad, and Dustin, her nine grandchildren, Mikailia Acuna (Eddie), Isaac Yderraga (Alison), Kennedy, Jake, Carter, Reagan, Brody, Adelyn, Madison, and her sisters, brother, nieces, and nephews. Who all adored her!
Private family services were held on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
