The Gurnsey Campground and Gurnsey Group sites will be closed all season due to hazard tree removal and hazardous fuel reduction activities. Those with prior reservations will be refunded according to Lassen National Forest’s Public Affairs Officer Mark Gaston.
“The safety of forest visitors, our employees and community partners remains a top priority for us at the Lassen National Forest and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Chris Christofferson, Acting Forest Supervisor, LNF.
The Almanor Group site on the Almanor Ranger District, is still available for reservations. The Forest also has some campsites available on a first come, first
serve basis.
