Forest Service Holding Public Meeting on Watershed Improvement Project

The Lassen National forest announced today they will be hosting a public meeting prior to the initiation of the National Environmental Protection Act analysis for a landscape scale watershed improvement project.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 3rd, from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. The location will be at the Almanor Recreation Center, 451 Meadowbrook Loop, Chester.

The goal of the project will be to conduct NEPA analysis on a limited suite of activities across a large landscape on the west side of the Lassen National Forest. The purpose of these activities will be to improve aquatic and watershed conditions within the project area.

The public is invited to discuss ideas, possible proposals and express concerns prior to the development of the project proposal.
