Elizabeth (McClure) Moore – July 4, 2019

Elizabeth (McClure) Moore

Elizabeth (McClure) Moore passed away on July 4, 2019 after a five year battle with pancreatic cancer. Liz was born in Redding, California in 1949 to Donald and Prudence McClure. The family moved back to Susanville and she attended local schools.  Liz graduated from Lassen High School in 1967.

After graduation she moved to the bay area and started her family. She graduated from San Jose State with a degree in accounting and went to work for the Federal Government as a defense contract auditor.  She retired in 2015.

She loved to travel going all over the United States and Canada. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and went to Poland and El Salvador to help build houses.

Liz loved life and she loved to laugh. She spent many days at Lake Almanor with friends playing cards and laughing into the night. She had many friends and loved spending time with all of them. The annual LUHS Alumni picnic was one of the highlights of her year, catching up with all of her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Prudence McClure and her sister Julie McQueen.

She is survived by her children Donald (Jackie) Moore and Lisa Moore, her grandson Eli Dickson and great-grandchildren Danyka Dickson and Raiden Dickson. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Santa Clara at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the LUHS Alumni Association or the American Cancer Society.

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
