Egg Stuffing Volunteers Help Prepare for Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Susanville’s annual Community Easter Egg hunt will be held this Saturday at the Lassen County Fairgrounds with lots of candy-filled eggs thanks to some wonderful volunteers who spent Thursday afternoon stuffing the plastic eggs.

More than fifty volunteers came to help stuff the 7,000 eggs that will be strewn about the fairgrounds’ lawn Saturday.

Thanks to our volunteers from Richmond 4H, Susanville FFA, LHS Drill Team, Lassen Probation, Future Business Leaders of America, the Mikailia Child Advocacy Center, Miss Lassen County and several really nice families and individuals who showed up. Everybody helped so much!

The annual Susanville Community Easter Egg Hunt, a tradition dating back more than 90 years, will be held this Saturday, April 20th, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds! Nearly 10,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hidden in the grass ready for local kids to fill their Easter baskets.

One special golden egg will be hidden for each age group and the child who finds it gets a big basket full of very cool toys and lots of candy!

The event is free to all local kids to participate, just come on down and join in the fun.

The gates open at 8:30 and groups start at 9:00 with a different age group starting every 10 minutes.

  • 9:00 for Under 2
  • 9:10 for Ages 2 to 4
  • 9:20 for Ages 5 to 7
  • 9:30 for Ages 8 to 10
