After a long dry summer Lassen County residents started seeing relief in the form of a series of storms that brought some measurable rainfall over the last several days.
According to measurements taken by Dr. Bateson, our local meteorological expert, just over a third of an inch of precipitation fell on Saturday here in the valley, with another half inch falling on Sunday morning.
“We have now reached our average rainfall for the month of October of 1.45 inches!” said Bateson.
Forecasters are expecting more wet weather this weekend here in northeastern California.
