February rainfall totals are in and thankfully the numbers came out above average here in northeastern California.
Our local meteorological expert, Dr. Owen Bateson, checks in this afternoon with this look at current moisture totals.
Bateson recorded 3.97 inches in February, 123% of the month’s historic average. That brings us to 9.13 inches for the year-to-date which is 60% of average.
“I received about a quarter of an inch on March 1st and 2nd.” said Bateson, “The average for March is 3.21 inches of precipitation, lets hope that we get or surpass that.”
