Credit Union Fraud Alert

Monday, July 18th, 2011

The Lassen County Federal Credit Union has asked us to pass on some important information for customers who might have received fraudulent text messages this weekend.

Affected customers found a message on their phones warning them that their bank card had been deactivated and that they needed to dial the number 530.282.1253. That telephone number takes customers to a faux card activation center where they are prompted to enter their bank card number.

For more information about the fraudulent text and your account you can call the credit union at 530.257.7736 or follow this link to their website.
