As of 7:00a.m. on Saturday, November 21st, here are COVID-19 statistics being reported by local health officials.
Lassen County’s Public Health Department is reporting 117 active cases in the county with one person currently hospitalized this morning. Two deaths have been attributed to the infection and so far there have been a total of 285 cases reported.
Susanville’s November Spike
After maintaining a consistent rate of around two-dozen active cases for most of the summer, Susanville’s numbers began growing exponentially in the first 14-days of November.
Infections, which were reported as 12 on October 30th, had doubled to 24 by November 10th. On the 14th of November infections had jumped to 72.

Infections at Local Prisons
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is reporting 454 new cases of COVID-19 among the inmate population at High Desert State Prison in the last 14-days.
California Correctional Center is reporting 4 during the same period. You can follow this link to CDCR’s inmate population tracker.
According to numbers updated by CDCR on Friday there are 77 staff members at High Desert and 17 at CCC with active cases of COVID-19.
