CHP Incident: No Injuries for Janesville Man After Losing Control of Pickup and Trailer

A Janesville man walked away uninjured September 4th after he lost control of the pickup and utility trailer he was driving on Highway 395 near Johnstonville, running through a fence and into a field before coming to a stop.

According to details released by the Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol 30-year old Janesville resident Michael Felty was driving his 1985 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the highway near Diane Drive towing a trailer when he began pulling to the shoulder.

Felty then reportedly lost control and the pickup and trailer ran down into the ditch, through a wire fence, grazing a utility pole. He came to a stop in the grass field east of the highway.

The driver reported that he was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the collision.
