CHP Incident: Chester Resident Injured in OHV Crash

A 42-year old Chester woman sustained moderate injuries November 3rd when the Off-Highway Vehicle she was driving overturned on a private road near Chester.

According to details released by the Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol, shortly before 5:00p.m. a woman identified as Jennifer Bowman was traveling southbound on private property, south of State Route 36 on a 2005 Polaris Trail Boss 330, when for unknown reasons she lost control of the vehicle, allowing it to travel across the roadway and overturn.

As the Polaris overturned Bowman was ejected landing on her back in the roadway.

The Polaris came to rest on its side on the roadway. Bowman was wearing a safety helmet, and complained of pain to her back, both legs, both arms, neck and chest, and had visible scrapes on her knuckles.

She was transported to the Chester airport where she was flown to Enloe Medical Center for further treatment of her injuries.

According to the CHP alcohol is not suspected as being a factor in this collision.
