The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, January 12, 2012 for the annual board planning meeting that will be held, from 9am to 1pm, at Diamond Mountain Casino in the hotel conference room.
The retreat is held annually to review the prior year and plan for the coming year.
Alliance for Workforce Development will hold the “2012 Labor Law Update Workshop”, on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, from 10am to 12pm.
The workshop is intended to help businesses learn about the new state and federal labor law changes that will affect all businesses in California.

The Lassen Co. Chamber of Commerce 124th Annual Chamber Membership Awards Dinner, will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Eagle Lake Village.
The Chamber board is seeking nominations for “Chamber Member of the Year”, “Chamber Business of the Year”, and “Volunteer of the Year”. Please submit your written nomination for any of these awards by Wednesday, January 11, 2012 to the Chamber office.
Mark your calendar to attend the first Chamber mixer of the year that will be hosted by Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel on Thursday, January 19, 2012, 5:30 to 7:30pm, in the Willow Room, 900 Skyline Drive, in Susanville. In conjunction with the mixer will be an “artist reception” that will be held in the hotel lobby, along with dessert, and artists will be on hand to answer questions.
