Susanville Kiwanis Club will be sponsoring the Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7th, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. The gates will be open to the public at 9am and the egg hunts run at 10 minute intervals, the first hunt will begin at 9:30am.
The age groups for the Easter egg hunts are Toddlers and Wobblers (under 2), Still Sweet (2-4yrs.), School Bound (5-7yrs.), and Watch Out (8-10yrs.).
Each “hunt” area will have a golden egg that can be turned in for an Easter basket filled with an assortment of goodies and prizes. Everyone is welcomed to bring their children to participate. For more information or questions contact Kitty at 257-9407.
The Lassen Business and Career Network, in partnership with the Lassen County Department of Health and Social Services, have funding available to assist with the cost of hiring employees.
Lassen “Hire Now” funding is available to private employers in Lassen County for hourly wage reimbursement of up to 50% per employee. In addition you can receive assistance with recruitment and screening of qualified job candidates, and individual support for both the employer and the employee. The 2012 Spring Home, Garden, and Outdoor Recreation Show is planned for Saturday, April 28th, from 10am to 4pm, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Booth spaces are filling up quickly.
If you would like to participate at this year’s event contact the Chamber office at 257-4323. This is a great way to promote your business at low cost with great exposure. 10’x10’ booth spaces are available at $40/chamber members or $55/non-Chamber member.
