CDCR Confirms No COVID-19 Cases at Local Prisons

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is confirming tonight that there are no reported cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus at either of Susanville’s two state prisons.

As of Saturday evening the agency has received notification that one employee at California State Prison, Sacramento, and two employees at California Institution for Men have tested positive for COVID-19.

The San Quentin State Prison employee previously reported to have tested positive ultimately was a negative case.

The CDCR emphasizes that currently there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among the incarcerated population.
