Caltrans Project Update: Main Street Paving to be Completed Next Week

Friday, August 23rd, 2019

The California Department of Transportation continues with its Main Street renovation project this week, with work planned from August 25th through August 30th from 8:00p.m. until 8:00a.m.

According to this week’s update from Caltrans, crews have now begun pouring the curb and gutter concrete for the Weatherlow redesign.

The redesign of the southeast Gay Street bulbout to improve parking was finished and the final lift of paving was completed from the east edge of Susanville to midtown.

Next week crews are scheduled to continue concrete pours at the Weatherlow intersection.

The final lift of paving on Main Street and side streets should all be completed by next Friday.

There will also be daytime electrical work requiring no traffic control or lane closures. Crews will begin the Weatherlow redesign electrical work.

Between 8:00p.m. and 8:00a.m. each day there will be one-way controlled traffic with 15-minute delays.
