Trauma Informed Practice

Anita Osborn is a licensed educational psychologist and credentialed school psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in the field of children’s learning and mental health. In that time, much has been learned through neuroscience about the brain and its growth and function in the presence of adversity. This workshop will expose participants to the Four R’s of trauma-informed care: Realize the widespread impact of trauma; Recognize the signs of being trauma-triggered; Respond with policies and procedures that support optimal functioning; and Resist Re-traumatization in order to break the cycle and foster resilience.
