Crews are currently working a fire north of Goumaz Campground and south of Highway 44.
According to Cal-Fire’s Lassen Modoc Unit the fire is currently 7-10 acres in the timber.
No structures are threatened, but Goumaz Campground has been evacuated for precautionary reasons.
Officials say that the fire is causing some issues with spotting, but there are currently six air tankers, 2 helicopters, 8 engines and 2 dozers on scene.
