Anthony Nick Alosi Sr.

Anthony Nick Alosi Sr., Age 85 of Susanville, California passed away on June 16, 2020, surrounded by his two sons.

Anthony (Tony) was born to parents Peter and Katherine Alosi on Sept.2nd 1934, in Cambridge Mass. As the youngest out of all nine brothers and sisters, within a month of being born, they came to Susanville, Ca. where Anthony would attend and graduate Lassen high school in the class of 1954. With athletic and academic honors and would go on to play football for the University of Pacific, Ca. Due to an injury and after recovery he then enlisted into the Army and was stationed in New Orleans for some time. After serving, he then came back to Susanville, Ca. where he would eventually meet Della Marie Hewett and they would marry in Dec. of 1967, For 53 yrs together until cancer took Della (mom) from us in November 2018. Anthony continued to work for the Army, at the Sierra army depot in Herlong, Ca as a Painter and sign maker and retiring after 22yrs. As well as his own Private sign painting business, where most of Susanville businesses had him design and produce there advertising and signs that you can still see today.

Anthony is survived by his two sons, Keith and Nick Alosi and grandchildren Jason, Nichole and Isabella, and Anthony’s Brother Pete (103) and Sister Rosie (90).

As we all remember, He was very artistic and loved to paint beautiful wildlife and landscape scenes, he loved to hunt, fish and attend most activities his sons or grandchildren were involved with.  He was also very involved with Lassen High alumni reunions and events.

As per Anthony’s (Dad’s) wishes, he wanted to wait to have a ceremony for Della Alosi (Mom); we will have a Celebration of Life for both Anthony and Della Alosi on August 2nd, 2020 at 12 am, for family and close friends, location will be at the Alosi residence in Susanville, Ca. any further inquiries are sent to [email protected]

Please note due to fires the Celebration of life has been postponed from this Saturday to next Saturday, August 2nd, 2020 at 12:00p.m.
