Lassen County Animal Shelter – Luna

Looking for an excuse to get outside and be more active? Miss Luna May is your girl!

Luna LOVES to run and play, so she will need an owner that is able to commit to regular daily exercise. She’s been known to jump 6 foot fences, so an outdoor kennel with a top would be ideal when she’s left unattended outside. She’s athletic, goofy, and cannot WAIT to make friends over at the Susanville Bark Park with her new forever person. According to her previous owner, she is good with cats, dogs, and children alike. However she may be a bit too excitable and rambunctious for small children, so a home with kids 10+ would be ideal.

This curly tailed darling cannot wait to meet new faces and is thrilled to be our Pet of the Week feature! Luna is about a year and half, housebroken, and is scheduled to be at the vet Monday, 3/22. She will be spayed, heartworm tested, and brought up to date on her rabies vaccination. For more information on Luna May or other adoptable animals, please call the Lassen County Animal shelter at 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
