Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Lonzo

Lassen County Animal Shelter – Lonzo

Sweet Lonzo is fun loving and looking for a big yard and new family to call his own!

Lonzo was recently surrendered to the Lassen County Animal Shelter and is still settling into shelter life. He’s outgoing and friendly, quick to become friends with staff, and enjoys long cuddle sessions. He’s only a year and a half old, so he has plenty of spunk and energy. His previous owner stated that Lonzo does well with children, dogs, and cats. However, he can be possessive of his food with other dogs. Shelter staff will be spending more time with Lonzo to further evaluate him.

So far, he’s been a delight all around. He doesn’t mind the resident shelter cats and loves zooming about in the outdoor dog runs and chasing after tennis balls. If interested in meeting Lonzo and learning a bit more about him, give shelter staff a call at 257-9200 or come down for a face to face meet and greet.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
