Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Kittens

It’s raining kittens!

Kitten season is in full swing down at Lassen County Animal Shelter, which means there are plenty of kittens looking for their forever homes. A $40 deposit is required for kittens too young to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption.

A voucher to pay for the spay/neuter from the Lassen Humane Society will be assigned to the adopted kitten and the adopter will redeem it at Lassen Veterinary Hospital. Once spay/neuter has been completed, the adopter will bring proof of spay/neuter to the shelter and can then expect their deposit back in the mail.

Please be a responsible pet parent and follow through with the spay/neuter of your kitten. You play an important role in controlling pet overpopulation in Lassen County.

Feel free to call us at the shelter with any questions or inquiries, 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
