Start working off Thanksgiving dinner a little early and help out a great local organization as the Bizz Running Company hosts the 7th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot on November 28th.
Families and children are encouraged to participate in this fun 3.1 mile race which will begin promptly at 8:30a.m. at Lassen Superior Courthouse, 2610 Riverside Drive in Susanville.
There is no cost to enter, however, participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or donation for Lassen Senior Services.
According to organizer Linda Powell the goal of the Turkey Trot is to raise awareness of the need for senior citizens to have food in their pantry.
There will be prizes for Best Costume and Largest Family Group.
