Want to learn more about the health care resources available from Banner Lassen Medical Center? Banner Lassen Medical Center’s surgery department wants to show the public what goes on behind those closed doors.
Except for health care providers, not many people get to see what it’s like in an operating room unless they are going in for surgery. The surgery department at Banner Lassen wants to share what they do by hosting an open house for the public and local physicians from 4:00 to 6:00p.m., Thursday, May 14th.
The staff will offer door prizes, refreshments, gifts, tours, information on services offered at Banner Lassen and the opportunity to meet with surgeons and surgical staff members.
“Last month Banner Lassen Medical Center received a four-star rating on a scale of five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,” said Cathy Harshbarger, chief executive officer for Banner Lassen. “That rating is based on the surveys of patients who have visited our facility and offered thoughts on their care. We’ve got a great story to share, and we want the community members to come and learn more about it.”
Banner Lassen’s comprehensive surgical program encompasses such specialties as gynecology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, pediatric dentistry and general surgery including the latest advances in minimally invasive procedures.
“Our skilled surgeons, dedicated staff and state-of-the-art technology,” explains Harshbarger, “mean patients can receive the high-quality care they need without having to travel out of town.”
