Wildfire Update: Vegetation Fire Burning Near Leavitt Lane

7:21 Update: One lane of Leavitt Lane has been reopened to traffic and clean-up is expected to take another hour, after which the road will be clear.

6:25p.m. Update: Radio traffic indicates that the fire has been contained.

5:22p.m. Update: According to scanner traffic the fire has burned around half an acre in willows and brush along the Susan River.

Leavitt Lane is closed at this time for fire equipment to access the fire.

5:13p.m. Fire crews from Cal-Fire, Susan River Fire District and Standish – Litchfield Fire are responding to a reported roadside vegetation fire burning on Leavitt Lane near Highway 395.
