1:02p.m. Fire crews and emergency personnel from several valley fire districts have responded to a vegetation fire burning along the roadway near the Bass Hill landfill on Highway 395.

According to Lassen OES Chief Eric Ewing the forward progress of the fire has been halted at approximately .25 of an acre.

Agencies responding included CalFire, Susan River Fire, California Highway Patrol, Janesville Fire and Lassen OES.

Both lanes of 395 near the fire are open but officials stress caution while in the vicinity of the fire crews and emergency responders.
