Wayne Lee Snider
Wayne Lee Snider was born May 1, 1942, in Westwood, CA to William Harold Snider and Catherine Helen Snider. Wayne passed away after a long battle with cancer. He graduated from Westwood High School. He started his grocery career at Youngs’ Market in Westwood.
He married Gayle and had three children, Amanda, Matthew and Melanie. They divorced after thirteen years. Wayne married Marion Petey he adopted her daughter Na Pua. Wayne and Marion were married for 40 years. He is survived by his sisters Patty Brundland of Reno, NV and Francis Mattern of Auburn, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and 10 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
He worked at Safeway for 35 years, ending his career as Produce Manager. He retired and he and Marion traveled until he was unable to enjoy it. He was Exalted Ruler of Elks and remained an active trustee until his death.
He was a wonderful loving person and will be greatly missed by all. His service will be Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Susanville Elks Lodge at 1:00 pm.
