Vote-by-Mail and Sample Ballots in the Mail for November 8th Election

Elections-VOTELassen County Clerk Julie Bustamante announced Thursday that Vote-by-Mail ballots and sample ballot booklets for the November 8th, Presidential Election have been mailed. Election materials cannot be forwarded by the US Postal Service and will not be received by the voter if the Election office does not have your current address.

If you do not receive your ballot by Wednesday October 26th, please contact the County Clerk’s office at 251-8217, or come into the Election office in the Historic Courthouse located at 220 South Lassen Street, Susanville.

Voters are reminded to check the back of their sample ballot because their polling location may have changed. It also contains a tear-out application for a Vote-by-Mail ballot. If you wish to Vote-by-Mail, the application must be returned to the County Clerk’s office by Tuesday, November 1st.

Ballots can be returned in person or by mail to the Election office, located in the Historic Courthouse at 220 South Lassen Street, Suite 5, in Susanville, or at any polling location in Lassen County on Election Day.

Ballots must be returned no later than 8:00p.m. on Election Day. If returning your ballot by mail, it must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received in the Election office by Friday, November 11th, 2016.

Polling locations can be found on the County Clerk’s website at: www.lassencounty.org on the Registrar of Voter’s webpage.
