Vendors Wanted: Lassen Office of Education Gears Up for 32nd Annual Children’s Fair

The Lassen County Office of Education is gearing up for the 32nd annual Children’s Fair, scheduled for May 5th at the Lassen county fairgrounds.

The event, which runs from 10:00a.m. until 4:00p.m. will feature activities and educational booths and organizers are looking for businesses and organizations who would like to set up a booth and participate.

Last year’s fair was a tremendous success, according to Children’s Fair Coordinator James Hall, with approximately 10,000 people of all ages attending.

“The purpose of the Fair,” explains Hall, “is to provide an opportunity for families to spend a pleasant day together that will hopefully reduce tobacco, substance, and child abuse within Lassen County.”

The Children’s Fair is intended to be a benefit to the community and not a profit-making opportunity.

“As we celebrate, we have added some fun new events. We will be having a Big Celebration. We will be having street tacos, mariachi band, family dance party, First 5 California van, and much more. There are more exciting things that will be taking place during this year’s Fair that are in the final stages of planning.”

If your group, organization or business would like to participate please submit your application by April 20th.

Applications are currently being accepted for booths, entertainment, and vehicle displays. For more information you can contact James Hall at the Lassen County Office of Education, 251-8711 or visit www.lcoe.org to download an application today.
