Ghosts, goblins, vampires and superheroes will roam the streets of uptown Susanville this Friday, at the Historic Uptown Susanville Association’s Annual Safe and Sane Halloween celebration.
Children under 15 are invited to come and ‘Trick or Treat’ at businesses throughout uptown and Main Street will be closed to thru traffic for the safety of all the kids.
At Lassen PC, 55 North Union Street, there will be a scary haunted dungeon.
From 3:00 until 5:00 uptown businesses will be passing out candy and there will be lots of fun activities for the kids, including a costume contest and pumpkin carving contest with cool prizes!
The big uptown party will feature live music, dance performances and a brand new event – coffin races! Local businesses have sponsored the nifty racing-coffins and it should be quite the spectacle as they fly across the finish line.
