Braving mid-summer temperatures near the century mark, a team of volunteers from the Lassen County Arts Council have spent the better part of two weeks on a scissor-lift restoring a mural at the corner of Cottage and South Lassen streets.

The mural, completed in 1991, depicts Lassen County’s logging history and use of the ‘Big Wheels’ to harvest timber in the late 1800’s.

Thanks to the Arts Council and project volunteers for helping to make the old mural look new again.
