The Youth Orchestra will be performing next Tuesday, March 28th, at 7:00p.m.

The Susanville Symphony’s Youth Orchestra will hold its yearly end of season concert performance at the Assembly of God Church Tuesday evening, March 28th.

Students of all ages, some as young as 7 years-old, will perform orchestral pieces by composers, Dvorak, Handel, Offenbach, Schubert and Tchaikovsky with Conductor Carol Fontana will be leading the orchestra.

According to Fontana there will be small ensembles performing throughout the evening.

The ‘Symphony for all Ages’ provides an avenue for anyone with at least one-year’s experience playing an orchestral instrument, and is a feeder group for the Susanville Symphony Orchestra.

The youth orchestra encourages and provides a positive and educational musical experience for students ranging in age from children, to adults and seniors.

The program is also designed to teach students to play in a working orchestral environment teaching concert etiquette.

The show begins at 7:00p.m. at the Assembly of God Church on Richmond Road. Members of the community are encouraged to attend and donations are strongly encouraged at the door.  These donations assure that members of the orchestra have music and supplies for future seasons.

For more information you can call Carol Fontana at 310-1667.
