Lassen Varsity Football held their end of the year awards night on Wednesday December 4th. Among the awards given out were All League, All League Honorable Mention, 4.0 Academic awards, Coaches Awards, Best Receiver, Best Offensive Line, Most Improved, Best Defensive Back, MVP Offensive, MVP Defensive, and 2 Team MVP awards.
Coach St. Jacques said he had a young team this year and is looking forward to the players coming back again next season.

All league honors went to Colton Faure, Frankie Shepherd and Case Bennett, with Kyle Barnetche and Jake Thomas receiving honorable mention.
The players who maintained a 4.0 GPA while playing football were Colton Surian, Frankie Shepherd, Tyler Clark, Jacob Escobar, Colten Faure, Sam Joseph and Cole McCown.
Lassen Youth Fast Pitch Softball is currently looking for people for multiple
board positions for the 2014 season. The next board meeting is scheduled
for Dec 11th at Round Table Pizza at 5:30pm. If interested you can
attend the December meeting. Meeting is also open for anyone wanting to

“DO IT EVEN IF YOU SUCK”
A local Susanville runners group is holding the First Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. This will be a 3.1 mile timed course starting at the Lassen Superior Courthouse at 2610 Riverside Drive. This event will start at 8:30 am. You can run, jog, walk and even trot.
There is no entry fee for the event, but you are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item or monetary donation to Lassen Senior Services.
There will be a prize for the best costume and largest family group.
Costumes and donations are intended to embrace the spirit of the holiday and are not a requirement to participate.
