Soroptimists Experience Healing Art Therapies With ‘Students Turn 4 Greatness’ Program

Soroptimist members and their handiwork at a recent meeting where they learned about healing therapy through art

The Susanville Chapter of Soroptimists International welcomed Elizabeth Darley from Students Turn 4 Greatness at a recent meeting where they learned about healing art therapies. Through her non-profit Darley works with the youth in juvenile hall and conducts art workshops for Crossroads Ministries, the Aurora Network and soon the Federal Prison in Herlong.

The Soroptimist members made colorful and creative masks during the lunchtime meeting.

“My mission is to facilitate services for victims of trauma, violent crime such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and teen dating violence that will promote growth, healing, and learning,” explains Darley on her website.

“It is the foundational belief of ST4G that people of all ages are students of life and when they have the opportunity to grow, heal, and learn they become more than conquerors during life’s journey. It is the vision of ST4G to provide compassionate outreach services.”
