The wild west comes to Lassen Community College this weekend as the school holds its annual fall rodeo with competitors traveling from colleges across the state for two days of western sport.
The Lassen College rodeo team is coming off of a great year. In the 2015–2016 season three student team members finished in the top three in the West Coast Region and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. They represented Lassen College in the goat tying, team roping and steer wrestling.
All three of these LCC competitors were in the top 20 in the nation after the first round of competition at the highest level of collegiate rodeo.
On Saturday, October 1st there will be a performance in the arena at 6:00p.m. and another the following morning at 9:00. Admission to both events is free.
The Lassen College Rodeo is being sponsored in part by the 95th Annual Red Bluff Roundup which is held each April down in the valley.
