Richmond School’s 5th graders took an adventurous overnight camping trip on September 17th and 18th to visit a string of interesting places from Burney Falls to Lava Beds National Monument in Modoc County.

The trip included stops at Burney Falls State Park, Medicine Lake, Glass Mountain, Skull Cave, Valentine Cave and other lava tube tours. The class then spent the night camping at Indian Wells campground and visited Captain Jack’s Stronghold on the way home.

Thanks to Mrs. Heimbigner for the neat photos!
