Raffle Prizes Stack Up for This Weekend’s Cancer Advocacy Fundraiser

ribbonlogoPrizes keep pouring in for a raffle to be held at the Northern California Cancer Advocates group’s big annual golf tournament and 5K run/walk fundraiser this Saturday, September 5th, at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course.

Prizes include more than 35 gift baskets valued at $100-$500 and tickets are only $1 each or 6 for $5. You could win unique items like scuba lessons in Monterey valued at $500.

Proceeds raised by the day-long event benefit cancer fighters in Lassen and Plumas counties.

The NCCA is a nonprofit organization operating out of Lassen and Plumas counties with the intent to provide support and guidance for people suffering from cancer during their time of need.

5K Fun Run and Walk for Cancer

Check-in for run/walk participants starts at 7:30a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:30. Runners can register and get an event t-shirt for just $30.

The 5K begins and ends at Diamond Mountain Golf Course.

Swing for a Cure Golf Tournament

Right after the 5K run/walk the excitement moves to the golf course and the 3rd Annual Swing for Cancer golf tournament.

Foursomes will play a scramble format with awards for team score and individual feats. Tee off with a shotgun start at 11:00a.m.

Tournament entry is $100 per person or $400 for a complete foursome including greens fees, cart, lunch and tee prizes.

Golf and lunch will be at the golf course, 470-895 Circle Dr. where team prizes will be awarded, prizes raffled and an auction held with great donated items.

Golfers will also be treated to live music by ‘The Jammers.’
