The Plumas-Lassen Community Summer Band, under the direction of Marsha Roby performed Sunday, August 15th at the Methodist Church in Susanville. The musical selections ranged from contemporary to classic, including pieces as diverse as Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera and John Phillip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever. Lassen High Student Michael Baracut was featured as as the saxophone soloist on Bulla's Solitaire and Dance. Another Lassen High Student, Nick Moody acted as guest conductor on the Sousa March.
