Historical Photos

Do you have old pictures of Susanville? We want them! Here at SusanvilleStuff.com and our sister site SusanvilleHistory.com we are always looking for nice, sharp, good quality photos from Susanville's past. We understand that these photos are valuable treasures and we will be happy to pick them up, digitally scan them and return them to you. Just use the email link below and let us know when and where we can pick them up. If you would like to scan them yourself and submit them please follow the guidelines below.

Photos of Current Events

We always want images of stuff going on in town. Every event is an opportunity to get great photos of our town and the people in it, and we can't be at all of them! So if you are going to attend an activity and you want to take pictures for us we would appreciate it immensely. Take along your digital camera and take as many shots as you can... the more the better. Then follow the guidelines below and click on the email link to send us the photos. If the pictures fit into the site somewhere we will use them and of course give you credit with your own SusanvilleStuff photo byline.

Submission Guidelines

Scanned Images
|
|
If you are scanning an old picture of Susanville for us please scan the photo at 300 dpi in full-color (even if it is black and white). This creates quite a big file and will be a slow upload for dial-up users, but it gives us the kind of quality image we need for the site. The scanned image should be saved as an uncompressed '.tif' file. Once you have the image scanned simply click on the email link below and send the photo as an attachment. If you have any problems email us and we will be happy to help!

Digital Photographs
|
|
Once you have downloaded the digital images from your camera onto your computer simply attach them to an email and send them to us... it's that easy. Please make sure your camera is set to the highest resolution image that it can take. We prefer .jpg images at least 800x600 but we can usually work with whatever resolution your camera uses. Make sure you include your name with your submission so we can give you credit if we use it on the site!
