In what we hope is the first of many annual recurrences, the inaugural year of Lassen Family Service’s Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event was an outstanding success on Saturday.
The event, part of National Crime Victims Rights Week, included talks by survivors of domestic abuse, recognition of the winners of the Empathy in Education awards, a law enforcement chili cook-off, informational booths and a mile long walk.
