From parades, to fundraisers and community events the 2017-2018 Little Miss and Mr. Lassen County Court has had an exciting year of activities since their crowning at last year’s Lassen County Fair.

Little Miss Lassen County, Adelin McClure, Little Mr. Lassen County, Logan Poteete, Little Miss Princess, Samantha Medvin and Little Mr. Prince, Garrett Fleming, have made appearances at the Susanville Air Show, the 9/11 Ceremony at the fire hall, the 2017 Rails to Trails Festival, the 2018 Childrens Fair and the Paiute Meadows Run in May during the last 11-months.

The busy group, advised by Tasia Harrison, also helped with many community service projects: they donated home-baked foods (Honey Rae’s Bake Shop) to the 2017 Jr. Livestock Auction, donated Turkeys to the 2017 Susanville Assembly of God Thanksgiving Meal donations, collected food for the 2017 Salvation Army Feed the Need campaign, donated toys to the 2017 Toys for Tots Christmas gift drive, took part in the Salvation Army Christmas season Kettle Bell Ringing and served breakfast at the 2018 Susanville Soroptomist Mothers Day Breakfast.

All four of the kids are active in local activities at school, local sports and performing arts.

“This group had a great year getting to know each other and learning about community service,” said parent Laura Medvin. “They enjoyed all events they attended or volunteered at. They had great mentors within the community and with the 2017 Miss Lassen County Court.”

The kid royalty will be at the upcoming Chester Fourth of July Parade and they will make one final appearance to perform a live commercial, and introduce the 2018-2019 court, at the Miss Lassen County Pageant on July 18th at the Lassen County Fair.

The Little Miss and Little Mr. activities were sponsored by the Lassen County Fair and Arrow J Beef.
