The Lassen County Arts Council has announced the People’s Choice award winner in their summer art installation, The Art of Painted Roosters. Peggy Bailey took home the award which was voted on by visitors to the Lassen County Fair last week. The contest challenged local businesses, organizations and individuals with decorating large wooden rooster cutouts – with some amazing results!
The Arts Council’s community art event was sponsored by Susanville Paint Center, Headquarters Salon, Change Takes Place, State Farm – Bill Muttera, Soroptimist International of Susanville and Scott DeRose Construction.
