Paul Bruce Ingle – April 4, 2017

Paul Bruce Ingle

Paul Bruce Ingle was born on March 15th 1950 in Santa Clara California to Otis Vernell Ingle, and Carmen Ingle.  Bruce was raised in the Santa Clara area until the age of 13 when he and his family moved to Ashland Oregon.  He attended Pentecostal Bible College in Livermore, Ca, or as he called it Pentecostal Bridal College in Lovermore, Ca.  There he met Debbie Lucas and after a 6-week courtship he asked Debbie to be his wife.  They were married in Romoland, Ca January 29th, 1972.  Bruce worked many vocations in his life, but his joy was service to GOD as a volunteer for multiple churches.  In 1993 Bruce accepted the pastorate of Gospel Tabernacle, and faithfully served the congregation at Gospel Tabernacle until his death.

Pastor felt that he was not only called by God to pastor at Gospel Tabernacle, but commissioned by God to help the community.  His vision was that he would reach 20% of the community by the year 2020, he called it his 20/20 vision. He asked God for a venue to accomplish this.  Shortly after this prayer, he received a letter from Sheriff Bill Freitas asking him to become a Chaplain.  He joined and never regretted his decision.  He truly loved all of the people in Lassen County. His family feels that he reached his 20/20 vision.

Bruce was reunited in heaven with his father, Rev. O.V. Ingle, his mother, Carmen Ingle, his mentor and father-in-law, Paul Lucas; and His brother-in-law, Paul Ray Lucas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie.  His daughter, Sherry and her husband, Matthew.  His son, Nathan and his wife Heather.  The lights of his life, his grandkids: Sarah Williams, Lucas Williams, Abigale Ingle, and Caleb Ingle.  His siblings: Vernell & Pam Ingle, Cindy & Jim Willis, Larry & Teresa Lucas, and Sherry & Doug Gleason. His mother-in-law, Gerry Lucas, and numerous extended family members.

We have had several inquiries regarding donations, we ask for donations made in his name to either Lassen County Sheriff’s Explorer program, or the City of Susanville Fire Departments Explorer program.

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
