Do you know a fantastic Lassen County old-timer? A Susanville resident worthy of the title Parade Grand Marshal?
The deadline is quickly approaching for folks to enter their nominations for both the Lassen County Fair’s Old Timer of the Year and Grand Marshal.
Nominees for Old-Timer of the Year must be at least 60 years old and have lived in Lassen County for a minimum of ten years.
They will be judged on kindness, service to the community and other accomplishments. To nominate an old-timer click here and download an entry form.
Winners are honored in the parade and on Old-Timer’s Day, Friday of the fair, when seniors 60-and-older get free admission to the fairgrounds.
The Lassen County Fair Parade Grand Marshal continues a tradition over a century old as he or she leads the parade down Main Street.
Nominees can be anyone – and judging will be based on the accomplishments and contributions of the nominee.
