O.G. Riderz Woodland President Addresses Residents’ Concerns

ogriderzIn a follow-up to an earlier story (click here for original article) the President of the West Coast O.G. Riderz Woodland, Glenn McHaffie, addressed local residents’ concerns in a brief statement on our SusanvilleStuff Facebook page. Earlier in the day growing speculation around town about a weekend event involving the motorcycle group prompted a joint statement from Sheriff Dean Growdon and Chief of Police Tom Downing.

In a reply to Facebook comments on the news story McHaffie said that he understands the concern, and pointed out that he is from Susanville and loves the town.

“We are only coming up to BBQ with friends in the area,” said McHaffie. “I’ve been up there many times with my crew never had a problem. We are no different than any other person in Susanville. You couldn’t tell us apart if we didn’t ride motorcycles.”

McHaffie suggested that people Google the name of the club and see all the of the good they do in all the communities where they live.

“In the last few years we have raised over a 1000 turkeys for hungry families and as many if not more backpacks for kids,” he explained.

“I ask please don’t judge us on movies you see on TV… we have families and are active in our communities,” said McHaffie. “I felt pride in where I grew up (Susanville) and wanted to show it off to my club brothers.”

“To me Susanville was a great little town with kind people. I hope that after we leave and you all see that there were no troubles. That maybe… just maybe, you’ll think differently about people just because they ride bikes.”

“Hope to see you all in town peace and blessed be!”
