Twelve National Guardsmen from Detachment 1 of the 2668th Transportation Company in Lassen County were honored Saturday, October 2nd at a lunch sponsored by the Lassen County Veteran's Association. The guardsmen have been called to active duty in Iraq as truck drivers. Members of the Susanville Elk's Lodge barbecued a great lunch provided by Safeway and Susanville Supermarket. The Lassen County Veteran's Association is comprised of the American Legion, VFW and Disabled Veterans Posts, the Marine Corps League Detachment and the Indian Veteran's Reunion Association
