Naomi Ruth Young

Naomi Young was born to Jake and Maurine Willingham on January 14th 1937 in Draw, Texas. She passed away at Lassen Banner Hospital with her family at her side January 15th, 2014. She was 77 years and 1 day old. She was the first child of a family of five. Her four siblings are Norman, Jay, Tonya and Teddy.

The Willingham family moved to Herlong, CA in 1946, where her dad Jake worked as a fireman, her mom Maurine was a loving mother and house wife.

Naomi attended Lassen Union HIgh School in the early 50’s. She married Jimmy C. Young on June 14th 1954, she and Jim had two children. Teri and Sheri, who also grew up and attended Lassen High School.

Naomi is survived by her two daughters, Teri Kimbriel (Harold), Sheri Sobierajski, grand children, Morgan, and Matt Kimbriel, R.J. and Ross Sobierajski. One great grandchild Gavin Hunter. Her brothers Norman and Jay Willingham, sister Tonya Ochotorena, niece Kelli Kellogg. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and many life long friends.

Naomi was a generous, loving, caring and beautiful person. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2008 and stayed true to her faith until death.

Her request was to have no formal funeral or memorial services. Naomi will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
