Are you a dancer with an urge to perform on-stage? Want to be a part of an amazing event that helps raise money for a great cause? Lassen Family Services is looking for community members who want to be a part of their annual ‘Dancing for a Brand New Me’ fundraiser in October.
Community dancers will be paired with a group of local dance professionals to compete over two nights at the Veterans Hall on Main Street.
The red carpet event, which is usually sold out, is held in the style of Dancing with the Stars – judges rate each couple on three different styles of dance. This will be the third year of the competition which has featured members of local law enforcement, medical professionals and other folks with a passion for dancing.
You don’t have to be great to begin with! Over the course of the summer participants will work with their professional dancing counterparts to learn routines and prepare for the big night. Most of all its fun!
